Which information about you do we store and why?
The information you give us through the registration form:
Your name
Your e-mail, so that we can send you information messages such as reminders of new schedule when a new season starts
Your phone number, so that we can contact you by text message in urgent matters, for example last minute cancellations
City or cities you’re planning to take classes in, to send you the information messages relevant to your city
Your permission to use photos or videos of you in our website or social media
For children, the names and phone numbers of adults to contact in emergency cases
In addition, we collect and store the following:
Payment information: whether you have paid monthly fee or beginners’ course, for example
Your current cordão rank, so that we know how many belts we need for next batizado :)
Whether you have attended any classes this season - to know when to remove your information (see further in text).
How do we store the information and who can access it?
We store information in a private Google sheet. Our teachers and people responsible for data collection and update can access it via their own Google accounts.
For how long is the information stored?
We delete your information if we haven’t seen you in our classes for one year, unless you specifically ask us to store it for longer time (for example, if you’re traveling).
How can I check what information you store about me, and how can I change or remove it?
You can ask us for all the information by e-mailing us at piumcapoeira@gmail.com. We will make the changes you ask for or remove your information in two weeks after you make this request.
